Bag Making Day

>> Wednesday, June 13, 2012

Lots of cousins have birthdays right now. A perfect way for me to satisfy my craving for making bags!
Here's my very simple set up in the dining room again. The ironing board is set up to the right of the table.

Due to packing and purging, most of my ribbons are - elsewhere.
It gave me an opportunity to open up my trim box and see what was inside!

No purging required in here!

I even found a little tutorial to use up this orphan block and make it into a bag.

Lucky for me, Aunt Spicy has this quick, adaptable tutorial for a gift bag.

And I finally read through all of the directions and made one of these bags! These could quickly become addictive - good thing I'm out of ribbon! Jen's tutorial has great photos and I really like how this one turned out.

One afternoon, lots of Blue Rodeo music, and I have 2 birthday gifts complete.
 Two more to go!

With Joy,
Sarah Vee

Nice bags. Not much better in life than sewing & listening to Blue Rodeo! (Msybe some Cowboy Junkies & the Hip thrown in for good measure?)
