Prepping for Vacation Fabric Shopping

>> Saturday, July 24, 2010

I have been doing some online fabric shopping in preparation for my month in the Sew Modern Bee. It's not 'til November, but turns out I'm making a BIG quilt and will do some of the making on my own.

But, of course, I'm still looking for more fabric!
{Like some Joel Dewberry and Lizzy House}
Now that the 1st round of picks has come in, I'm getting them ready to tour with me so I know what I still 'need'.
Or, more precisely, which colour gradations are missing.

I"m keeping the selvages from these fabrics separate - in case I want to make a project to complement the quilt. Maybe a bed pillow or two?

I'm using this little scrapbook that I picked up in the $ store a long time ago. Decorated and never used. Until now:)

I won't have to guess when I'm looking at green fabrics which ones will work.

So far all of the fabrics fit into one of the drawers at the end of my cutting table.

With Joy,
Sarah Vee

I love the Sew Bee block...it's wonderful! You look waaaay too organized to be a "real" quilter. Don't we all have piles of "stuff" everywhere and when we need a specific fabric we don't know where to find it? Congrats on keeping all your stuff together! lol
