Decking the Walls

>> Monday, November 30, 2009

It's one of the final Mondays before the week of Christmas! Time to evaluate that growing list of projects I need to have done before then and what I can realistically finish before next year.

My design wall looks a bit different from last week. I am still cutting out scraps to make potholders and ornaments with my husband's grade five class. We moved it to next Monday as his kid's didn't take home their permission slips asking for sewing machines and such. So I have another week to get everything ready! Phew! I plan to basically 'kit up' the potholders and have all the mittens cut out. I have a few non sewing ornaments to make too.

I completed my fall wallhanging for my Secret Elf exchange. I really like it. My husband likes it too and thinks I should send her something else! Not this late in the game:) I need to attach a label and fix one little 'uh oh' I found while finishing the binding. (I won't tell you what, I'm just glad I have some tan thread left).

I'm also participating in the Sew, Mama, Sew! Giveaway day on Wednesday, December 2nd. Remember to come back then if you'd like a chance to win my little something! I had big plans to make something, but now I'm putting together a little kit so you can make it:)

If you read my post every Monday you know I had lots of baking to do last week. I managed to bake 4 different batches of cookies, before I ran out of eggs and had to start getting ready for company. The bake sale went great. Now waiting to here when my husband's school bake sale is to start making more!

Click on over to Judy's blog today and see what the other quilters are busy designing.

Enjoy the season of giving!
With Joy,

Sarah Vee
