January sewing projects

I've been sewing when I can, getting ready for some fun things to share in the next few weeks.

turnabout patchwork book by teresa mairal barreu

I am participating in the blog hop for this new book, Turnabout Patchwork, by Teresa of Teresa Down Under. You can find her videos on youtube too - Teresa on youtube.

Here's a peek at the boldly colored block that I chose to create! Surprised? (not really!) My date is February 2nd so this is the next project I'm working at finishing up.

Before the blog hop my Quilter's Soup challenge is due at my guild meeting. I've been busy this weekend quilting it. I'm happy to report that I used up almost all of the fabric provided :)

I have a sew day coming up too, which is a good thing because I need to get caught up on my floating stars for the Monterrey Medallion quilt.

And I have posts about the PFAFF 720 Quilt Expression coming up by the end of February. I have to say more than "love it" so I'm working on making those posts useful and inspiring.

Most of my time right now is spent in my classroom or thinking about my class! My quilting projects are some of my favorite rewards. That and hanging out with my son and doing JUST DANCE :)

Hope your new year has you quilting and enjoying life!

With Joy,

Sarah V.
