Churn Dash Batik Cushion Covers

>> Monday, June 25, 2018

Hello!
Still busy here quilting. Last week of school. Online course done. Report cards done. Time for summer quilting deadlines and some sun!

I designed these two churn dash cushion covers for QUILTsocial.com.

You can find the free tutorials starting at this post.

Making a batik statement with a quilted cushion cover

The fabrics are batiks again - I am completely enjoying working with batik prints. I knew I would ;)

These cushions are made with Ketan batiks - the tone on tone blenders - from Banyan batiks and the prints are from the Mary line that is new in stores this month. A different colour palette for me, but I really like it. Not surprisingly, the pinks and rusts look good with my blue carpet!

I will be back sooner than later. Promise!

With Joy,

Sarah V

I love churn dash blocks, but especially the effect you created on the back cover! Fabric placement is everything!
