Catching up with Canadian Women blocks

>> Tuesday, March 28, 2017

I have been quilting - just not blogging!

150 Canadian Women blocks 49 to 51

The March blocks are starting to get more challenging, but also include some favourites. The top left block made up of capital Ts is one I like, and I really like the looks of the one on the top right. I think I will make one of these up to add to my Splendid Sampler blocks.

The one on the bottom right required a set-in seam, something I usually avoid, but in this case it was simple and was required given the way the outer border was pieced.

Last week's blocks were fun too. I started using some of the bottom Pat Sloan background fabric in another project and took this opportunity to add it into this quilt too:)

This week's blocks are now available for free downloading over at Next Step Quilt Designs

Are you keeping up or joining in?

With Joy,

I'm a few weeks behind - my sewing room desperately needed a deep-cleaning, and I'm still plugging away at it. Throw in medical emergencies with both my father, and my mother-in-law, and you'll understand why I'm not caught up yet.
I love your fabrics! I chose to use a consistent fabric for my backgrounds, but my oldest daughter has requested a 150 CW quilt, so I may mix up the backgrounds for her version.
