Birthday Blocks for April

Yes, April!

April's birthday quilter requested blocks in blue for her Florida home. I chose the Aurifil block of the month by Christa Watson. I used a some of all the blue Pat Sloan fabrics I had! The center is not as liberated as it could be, but I'm still happy with the outcome.

The birthday group of is made up of a group of quilters who met online through Pat Sloan's forum. I try to incorporate a design and/or fabric in each block. I don't always, but it's fun to try!

There was no birthday quilter in May but there are several in June.

Here's the first one that's already been celebrated:

This quilter wanted a snowman of any size. I used Pat Sloan's snowman from her book, "New Ideas for Applique", and just left off it's cute hat. The background fabric is from Pat's Sweet Life line of fabric.

Two more June blocks are made but I'll share them later this month once they've been received!

With Joy,

Sarah V.

Love both blocks. Really like the middle of the blue star.

Cute blocks. The snowman is adorable, and I always admire your liberated blocks. I am not liberated, cause I just have a hard time making those blocks, but I love them. :)
