Summer = Design Wall Slowdown

>> Monday, July 19, 2010

I can't blame the laziness of summer days, but the sewing is going slowly.
Mostly because I'm enjoying views like this!

I've been busy with the family camping without electricity -
and really enjoying the space created in a day without emails and TVs.

Of course, when I AM at home,
the washing machine is cycling pretty much non stop!
{and the kids are watching TV non stop!!}

My design wall is pretty basic this week. Just the necessities. Two of my July string blocks are now completed. I may get a chance to do one more this week before we head out again:)

Two July Block Lotto blocks are done. I have enough black tone on tone fabric for one more. Then I'll cross my fingers and hope to win some blocks this month! Although I have to say that I am really enjoying trying something new each month through this lotto - even without winning:)

These circles are what's left to attach to this month's Sew Modern Bee block. That's all of the sneak peek I can give you! Nicole wants it to be a surprise so I'll reveal once she reveals it on our bee flickr site!

Here's a photo of the rest of the fabrics I got to play with to make her block:

Nice blocks. Summer is so nice to just relax with the kids and watch nature. You did get quite a bit done with all the summer going on!!Love the blocks, I need to jump on the "modern" look.

Is that landscape a quilt or a picture? Either way it is gorgeous. No, if it is a quilt, I am totally impressed (and jealous)

you don't really need quilts in the Sumnmer, but it is a nice diversion when you don't have kids and fills up lots of spare time for me...I like your lotto blocks too!
