First Post Hello!

Hello! Thanks for stopping by. This is the beginning for me so please, bear with me. I have been checking out many wonderful blogs for the last 6 months and finally decided to join you. No longer anonymous I have an account and a page...We'll see what transpires!

First up, thanks to Barbara Brandeburg whose book "Meadow Rose" brought me to her blog.
Check it out here (she has a new pattern coming): http://barbarabrandeburg.typepad.com/

Second to Pat Sloan whose OP Virtual Retreat finally pushed me over the edge/screen and into Blog Land. Pat's everywhere! But you can start here: http://patsloan.typepad.com/pat_sloans_corner/

I had so much fun challenging myself to think colour 'placement' and not 'product' that I actually made more quilt blocks in one weekend than I've made in months. Using Orange helped a lot. This is what I've got so far...

Twelve glowing blocks. I'm working on at least three more and using my 'waste' triangles to make some smaller pieces to fit. I'm trying to keep playing with it and not go traditional with my setting. We'll see what the week brings. Here I am writing instead of sewing!
