What I'm Working on in 5 Photos

>> Monday, August 17, 2015

Summer inspirations have turned into quilt tops! I have been busy MAKING. It is a great feeling. And an overwhelming feeling too. This baby quilt is happy and fun to make. Only a peek for now in case it gets to be in a magazine {yes, I'm going to start putting ideas 'out there' again and see what happens!}

Underneath the top you can see peeking out two more panels of my Halloween 1904 quilt ready to be hand sewn together.

This wallhanging came out too! New fabrics always come with inspiring ideas - a great reason to be always adding a little bit to the stash;)

I've been making the August Vacation Time Taffy blocks as leader and ender pieces while I'm making. The strings are for 2 more Heart on a String Selvage blocks. They have been waiting patiently in front of my printer.

The rest of the pieces for the 50 Taffy blocks are to the left of my cutting mats. Also pictured is my pink label sticky note roll that is one step closer to labelling all of my newly organized bins! The yellow sticky note has been sitting for quite some time {maybe last winter?} to tell me how much binding I need for my barns and mini spool wallhanging.

I've also been working on another block for the Harvest JOY Sampler and found this perfect rotary cutter yellow for some stars!

This morning I sat down and added up all the different yardage amounts from the first 3 blocks for the sampler.

I will be starting with a wallhanging - surprise!
It will have a border and measure approximately 48 inches square.

We'll be starting with the block pictured above - Pumpkin Patch Block.

I'll be back tomorrow with a post just about the sampler and post yardage amounts.

Are you ready to rummage through your stash?!

With Joy,
Sarah V
