Fabrics for Fun and Projects

>> Monday, October 15, 2012

I guess now is a good time to confess that part of the reason I was working away at organizing my space was that I was really procrastinating in anticipation of new fabric! This quartet is as close as I could get myself to come in purchasing RED fabric.  I indulged in some Kaffe fabric and am really glad I did! The black paisley fabric is a half yard but 108 inches wide. Some of it will go into my Halloween 1904 quilt.

I had to get these ones as well. I have the one on the left in a different colourway. The other one reminded me of gears in a clock and my Madhatter Tea Party challenge that is still a UFO. This fabric might make it into the pile of pieces that are waiting to be auditioned for that quilt.

This one I bought a yard of because I love it. The saturated colours inspire me. I have it draped over my buffet so I can see it all the time. Not sure if I will ever cut into it!

My first cut into the new fabrics. I decided this folk print looked Christmasy in red and green. This is the middle of a project I hope to share soon. . .

With Joy,
Sarah Vee
