Zippered Pouch

>> Monday, July 16, 2012

I made a zippered selvage pouch for a birthday present for one of my daughter's friends. Luck would have it the zipper sitting in my cutting table drawer made a perfect sized pouch for an iPod or other small digital device.
{The iPod shown here is my daughter's - not part of the gift!}

I even finished all the edges on the inside. I used green thread to match the selvages - you can see it on the inside.  I used a batik for the selvage foundation and it doubles as the lining of the pouch.

 This is the other side of the pouch. I used some of the batik selvage on this side.

This was fun to make. I think I have a few more zippers around here and I KNOW I have more selvages. There may be a few more pouches and/or selvage purses in my future!
