One More Liberated Churn

>> Monday, March 28, 2011

I finally got back to my Liberated Churn Dash blocks. For this one I wanted to try creating some perspective and also try some strip piecing with my fabrics. I cut and sewed them back together in strips before using them in the block. Not sure it was the best idea to combine these two ideas!

I also discovered that I like the block flipped over better than my original plan!

Check out some more Monday Design Walls through the links at Judy Laquidara's blog, Patchwork Times.

I have made good use of a few days off and have blog posts scheduled for the next 3 days - 2 of them include giveaways!

You might want to check out Kay Mackenzie's blog today for a chance to win her new book.
Come back HERE tomorrow for another one;)

With Joy,
Sarah Vee

I like it better flipped over too.

Very cool block. I hadn't come across it yet. Might have to make one too :-)

I like the strip piecing. I think both flipped and unflipped look whimsical and lively. Fun!
