When Life Gives your Son Chicken POX. . .

QUILT!

Our summer vacation plans are taking
yet another detour as my son,
who turns 3 next Tuesday (!),
has the chicken pox.

I had time to make 8 liberated flying geese blocks for Mary Jane from the Block Lotto.

These were hard to do because I feel like I just figured out how to make them NOT liberated!

By the last 2 blocks I was sewing my background fabric
at the proper angle to make a block the first time to the sewing machine.

Now I see lots of fun possibilities with these
- and a great scrap buster too!

The Block Lotto blog has some basic instructions
if you'd like to give them a try.

With Joy,
Sarah Vee

Lucky little guy won't ever have to deal with those shots! Lovely blocks...I admire anyone who can do a good triangle! 90 degrees is about the only angle I can manage!
