Time Tip Tuesday: One for Me, One for You!

>> Tuesday, December 1, 2009

I'm going to be participating in this tomorrow:

While trying to figure out how to package my goodies, I remembered the cute friendship bag that Rachel of P.S. I quilt made.

So I decided to make four!!!

As you can see they are still in progress. I pulled out a piece of fabric that I love and wanted to use in a special way. It had the EXACT measurements needed for the friendship bag! Then I remembered I had some Amy Butler prints that were labeled "for non commercial use only". Perfect! And the pink matches the pink in the print!

So I'm a happy quilter getting ready for giveaway day.

I also pulled out of the storage drawer the quilting attachment for my machine. The FIRST TIME I've ever used it! I've had my machine for uhm, almost ten years.

I'm very happy with what it can do for me. I think I could even line it up for that perfect 1/4 inch seam we quilters obsess over (and for good reason!)

I finished my second November stocking last night. I am trying really hard to stay focused on getting little things done in little steps. Checking them off of a master list to make sure things get done on time.

Today will be spent finishing my friendship bags, and packing up my Secret Elf package.

Make your sewing time that much more enjoyable
this holiday season by making a list,
checking it twice,
and finding simple little things
to make lots of for gifts.

With Joy,
Sarah Vee

Like the bags, I might have to make some of those too. So when do we get to see all of those little stockings you've made together?
Happy Giveaway Day Eve - I have to get back to my machine.
