Here at Sew Joy Studio (a very loosely applied term!) my Christmas stocking was used to put all of the comments in. This was a gift made by my mother-in-law, I believe, the first Christmas I was married. She did all the work! I love it.

"I don't do a lot of applique--there are too many things I like to do and not enough time. But my second choice for my daughter's Christmas dress was going to have an appliqued Christmas tree with a big bow instead of a star on top. The dress had big bows on the shoulders too...maybe next year...
