Playing with Photos

>> Wednesday, February 22, 2012

I love using Picnik for my photo editing. Yes, this photo isn't great, but it was a LOT worse when I started! It's one I didn't include in my heavy photo post of the weekend about cutting fabrics.
I have been wondering about what I will use when Picnik is gone. I don't like change and have just started to really play with Picnik. In fact, it's premium features are available for free until it goes away in April. So I've been playing and wondering what to do when April gets here.

Then I went surfing a bit on the weekend and discovered {accidentally on purpose?} this fabulous post with a list of options out there. Read the post here.

Number 10 on the list was befunky.com.
With a couple clicks I played with the same photo and have to admit, I like it better. I did put an effect on the frame, but it was easy to play around and try things. I still have to figure out how to know how big my photo is to resize it. But I will definitely go back to play again another day.

Thanks to Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for a great post.
And to Caryl at Cinnamon Holiday Workshop for having such a great list of blogs to check out!

Where do you like to play with your photos?

With Joy,
Sarah Vee

Thank you for this research. I use Picnic ALL the time to edit my project pics and have been in denial. You know how that goes...long time til April.

I've done a bookmark and will give it a try with my next pic. Like you, I don't need fancy, I just need cosmetic features.

Great info...thanks so much for sharing! I've used Picasa a bit, but most of the time I'm using PSE. I'm still learning, but it's fun and not too expensive either.
