Doggie Bag

One more Christmas present - DONE!
I used this tutorial by Denyse Schmidt as my starting point.

I personalized it with her first initial, outlined in big, sparkly purple rick rack.

I even figured out how to sew a pocket into this bag without a lining!
My bag construction, especially how I attached the handles, is based on Green Bag Lady bag instructions. {looks like she will be participating in big Sew, Mama, Sew giveaway coming up on Monday}

Lots of mug rugs to make for teachers still. I can tell I have deadlines approaching as I have been spending too much time checking out blogs and giveaways.

Some new links on my sidebar - to the Quilt Shoppe's BINGO - even if you missed registering for the bingo, they are also having daily giveaways.

I'm thinking about sketching next year - or at least being inspired by other people sketching! You can read about the project here, and check out the people leading the project.

I also found Where Women Create again, and have put their button on my blog. Looks like they are branching out too - where women cook. Always lots of inspiring stuff to read and see on this site.

Kathie at Inspired by Antique Quilts has some links worth exploring too.

If you're avoiding deadlines too:)

Enjoy the weekend.
