HOW TO ENTER TO WIN:
Leave me a comment on this post. I'm on the hunt for a new stool to sit on while I'm at my sewing machine and wondering what other people sit on. Let me know what you sit on - or what you would recommend. This will give you one entry.
For a second chance - go to my "Choosing Colours" page by clicking on the tab in my top link bar. Updated to add: Sorry you can't leave comments on that page - yet! I have to fix something it looks like. So instead, please take a look and leave a comment here about choosing colours for quilts. Thanks!
The giveaway will be open until Thursday, Feb. 25 at NOON, Eastern Time.
I will randomly pick from all the entries of people who leave comments about either post.
* If you are a 'no reply blogger' I will not include you in the drawing unless your comment includes an email to contact you.*
Thanks for celebrating with me!

Happy Birthday Sarah! 36 already? Hope you have a great day and some really good cake.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaways. I sit on an extra dining room chair. I've tried other chairs but this works best for me right now. Gives me a tall back to lean on when I get frustrated and a place to hang things when I iron.
The Choosing Colours won't let me leave a comment so - I hardly ever use the suggested colours and go with what I like. I usually pick a focus fabric first (especially if I have the fabric picked out for a certain person). And, I don't think I have made a quilt without green fabric in it somewhere. I love green.
Thanks for the giveaways.
I sit on my kitchen table chair as I sew at my table. I don't recommend it lol, hard on even the most padded of seats. Though it allows me to lean back a stretch my back while sewing.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Right now I sew at a pub height table. The chair I use is a bar stool with a padded seat and a back. It is really comfortable. I do have to use a box to put my foot pedal but I like that too. (One more place to hide fabric) :)
ReplyDeleteWell I have a lot of questions about color. But to just name a few...How do you feel about using a white based fabric with an off white based fabric? Why does it seem that we all choose white/off white as a background color? Can a quilt be interesting in just one color (say orange)or does it need the contrasting color to make it interesting?
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! Right now I use an ergonomic office chair. It works well, and I can adjust its height. Choosing colour for me has a lot to do with memories. Right now I am gathering fabric to make an orange quilt. I never liked orange until my son was born.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Sarah! Don't laugh, but a lot of times my sewing machine is at my cutting table, which sits very high, and I stand and sew. We live in an RV (a fifth wheel) and space is limited! Sometimes I sit at the table in the living area and sometimes I sit in a very nice office chair and sew at my hubby's desk. I'm pretty versatile! :) I'd definitely go with something ergonomic, though! :)
ReplyDeleteUmmm...and about choosing colors. It really depends on my mood. I went through a period where I was buying all shades of orange! Right now I'm on a red kick. Pattern plays a big part of it too! :)
ReplyDeleteI have a regular kitchen table chair with a very think chair pad. I'm not sure it's so much the chair but it being at the right height that matters.
ReplyDeleteForgot to comment about your choosing colors page. I love the orange pile quilt. Sometimes I find myself falling into the "it has to match" syndrome when it's the unexpected that usually makes a quilt sing. I just start over when that happens ;)
ReplyDeleteoh what a generous giveaway.. I would definately go ergonomi. Way more comfortable so you can sit longer :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday :) Hope it was a good one :)
ReplyDeleteChoosing colours?? Hmm, I have so much trouble doing that, either everything I like clashes or I can't decide what one colour scheme to go with. My husbands a painter so I sometimes steal his colour wheel to se what will go nicely :)
I have a green bag lady bag too, I won it at Christmastime as well, I need to make more to pass along! Also, I love those commemorative stamps & coins - so cool!
ReplyDeleteLastly (but definitely not least) Happy Birthday!
