Are there lots of steps to creating a fabric line?<br />Sarah- there are lots of wonderful designers out there- I had the good fortune to hear Kaffe Fassett speak recently. I am often inspired by great fabrics and then need to find or plan out the best quilt pattern to enhance them...what comes first for you?<br />the fabric? or the pattern?<br /><br />2. How often does it happen that a pattern deviates from the original idea once it's being taken from pad to reality? Last minute changes? decisions?<br /><br />3. when designing quilt patterns what kind of a person are you designing for? do you have a recipient in mind or maybe a general idea of the kind of quilter that might like this quilt pattern?<br />or are you designing for you to make you happy?<br /><br />4. do you feel alot of pressure to "one up" yourself with every new pattern?<br /><br />5. I always have trouble deciding how to quilt a pattern once it's basted? do you make a pattern with a quilting design in mind as well? any advice for those of that might make a quilt pattern of yours as to how to choose to quilt it?
