Hmm, I have so much trouble doing that, either everything I like clashes or I can't decide what one colour scheme to go with. I love the orange pile quilt. Sometimes I find myself falling into the "it has to match" syndrome when it's the unexpected that usually makes a quilt sing. I just start over when that happens ;)Cherie in St Louishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01292832934556141810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1572019656485101029.post-20197327841354883712010-02-25T11:42:53.448-05:002010-02-25T11:42:53.448-05:00I have a regular kitchen table chair with a very t...I have a regular kitchen table chair with a very think chair pad. Pattern plays a big part of it too! :)Denise :)https://www.blogger.com/profile/07306906507013593208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1572019656485101029.post-69438351049995998392010-02-23T18:32:17.205-05:002010-02-23T18:32:17.205-05:00Happy birthday, Sarah! We live in an RV (a fifth wheel) and space is limited! Sometimes I sit at the table in the living area and sometimes I sit in a very nice office chair and sew at my hubby's desk. I'm pretty versatile! :) I'd definitely go with something ergonomic, though! :)Denise :)https://www.blogger.com/profile/07306906507013593208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1572019656485101029.post-45555217262854632032010-02-23T17:26:18.952-05:002010-02-23T17:26:18.952-05:00Happy Birthday! Right now I am gathering fabric to make an orange quilt. I never liked orange until my son was born.Dresden Quilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14271910749619198419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1572019656485101029.post-67712325027413680322010-02-23T10:14:10.834-05:002010-02-23T10:14:10.834-05:00Well I have a lot of questions about color. Why does it seem that we all choose white/off white as a background color? Can a quilt be interesting in just one color (say orange)or does it need the contrasting color to make it interesting?Crafty Maine Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00628773754733034018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1572019656485101029.post-62857351405354886852010-02-23T10:10:11.984-05:002010-02-23T10:10:11.984-05:00Happy Birthday! I do have to use a box to put my foot pedal but I like that too. I don't recommend it lol, hard on even the most padded of seats. Though it allows me to lean back a stretch my back while sewing.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00823051999062711901noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1572019656485101029.post-33948628232334739302010-02-23T08:34:38.243-05:002010-02-23T08:34:38.243-05:00Happy Birthday Sarah! 36 already? I've tried other chairs but this works best for me right now. Gives me a tall back to lean on when I get frustrated and a place to hang things when I iron.
The Choosing Colours won't let me leave a comment so - I hardly ever use the suggested colours and go with what I like. I usually pick a focus fabric first (especially if I have the fabric picked out for a certain person). And, I don't think I have made a quilt without green fabric in it somewhere. I love green.
Thanks for the giveaways.Rachel Slote-Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12626554321093202349noreply@blogger.com
