Blanket Stitching Dragonflies

I have been doing a little bit of handstitching on the front porch, when it's been warm enough and my fingers don't get too cold. I have all of my dragonflies prepped. The dragonflies and the project are from Pat Sloan's book, New Ideas for Applique. It's chock full of ideas! This one grabbed my attention first.




I've got one stitched.
I think the Stonehenge fabrics that I've been saving are perfect for this project.








You can see in this photo that I used two colours of embroidery floss together on the wings. I'm going to try different colour combinations on the other dragonflies.
