Travelling Joy

I can sew anywhere! The dining room tabled offered some pleasant breezes and lots of room to work on some sewing this past week.

Here's one of my UFOs that I packed up to work on in my new space.

Have I told you where yet?
I didn't think so!

I'll be almost in the middle of the country!

Okay, back to the UFO.
Awhile ago now, Pat Sloan was inspired by another blogger to find a vintage Santa panel and make a quilt with it. She's much farther along than me, using blocks given to her by several of the quilters at the Quilt Mashup Forum. Those blocks look like the star one in the top right - a special Sloanie friend sent me one too {thanks, Linda}!

Well, I went hunting for my own Santa panel and discovered this giant Mary Engelbreit Santa stocking panel. It had 2 panels and both with the word "Believe" across the top.
My dear Sloanie friend, Miss Shirley, picked BELIEVE as her word of the year this year.

Mine is PLAY!

So,  I sent her the other panel to play with! Annnnnd, when she came to visit me she brought her panel for me to sign.

I just happened to have taken the photo above about an hour before she arrived. Needless to say I knew exactly where I had packed up this UFO and got my panel out for her to sign!

This UFO may have to wait another Christmas - or not - we'll see what's waiting for me in Saskatoon before I resign myself to waiting to get this one done.

How many Christmas UFOs do you have?
